So The Girl would . . .
My wife would be embarrassed that the girl didn't have her can properly placed in a monogrammed hugger. Letting your can go naked is so declasse.

Lordy, lordy, lordy!
Parched, I'll tell ya! (I said that!)
She's dazzling. And I think she's a flower. (Nico, BRING HER! I have ambitions of introducing you to either Zalfa (smokin' Palestinean princess), or Moti (Persian 'SC co-ed), or Yael (Egyptian/French gymnast who also enjoys Brazilian disco music/dance) as a broheem-to-broheem trade-off, no?)

[ewwww! we dawgs! and in the profound words of N.W.A. ". . .it don't matter just don't bite {'em}"
Hey King of Hip-hop, I wanted to write you earlier- but I (-Beastie anyone?) ". . .talk too much" enough as it is. . . and just mention that I went out and got me some Slum Village (from your last week's Random 10)- and those cats are tore-up! Can't stop playing it. If I could I would, anyway. . ."knuckle-touch" (tink).
And. . . .thanks Spock. For all that you do for us. You know? Alright alright.

quoting NWA...
the Slum Village pick is ill, too...what album did you get??? Fantastic Vol. 2 is the best IMO...but they all have some hits. I'm glad to hear someone listening to "good" hip-hop instead of that same ol' ish that gets played on the radio...
and you're welcome? I guess...? I'm just serving my country..."I make it do what it do baby..." (c) Jamie Foxx...

I can go on and on "Players", "Thelonious". Tore-up I tell ya. Again- thanks for the nudge, mo!
Ever hear of NorCal/EastBay MC's - Keak da'Sneak? Da Baydestrian? (i know you heard of E-40 and Mac Dre) What do you think of "The Hyphy" sounds?
Hope all's well.

It's just an ol' church hymn . . . .
When I last heard it sang within "the family", I was told it also was one of Bear Bryant's favorites.
I just googled the lyrics,'cause I only know a little bit of the song. It kinda also has a slow, choppy cadence and I've never really been able to hit the notes right on this song for the life of me. A lot like a Tom Waits song. (Oh, but I can sing "Fumbling With the Blues" and "Big Joe and Phantom 309" alright. That's about all though)
You wanna read about it? Here it goes:
Love Lifted Me
I was sinking deep in sin, far from the peaceful shore,
Very deeply stained within, sinking to rise no more,
But the Master of the sea, heard my despairing cry,
From the waters lifted me, now safe am I.
[Refrain]
Love lifted me! Love lifted me!
When nothing else could help
Love lifted me!
All my heart to Him I give, ever to Him I'll cling
In His blessèd presence live, ever His praises sing,
Love so mighty and so true, merits my soul's best songs,
Faithful, loving service too, to Him belongs.
[Refrain]
Souls in danger look above, Jesus completely saves,
He will lift you by His love, out of the angry waves.
He's the Master of the sea, billows His will obey,
He your Savior wants to be, be saved today.
[Refrain]
Sorry with that one Nico, got a little carried away. It happens from time to time. Wait. Scratch that. . . .More often than not.
Knuckle-touch? [tink!]

And. . . .
Let's put it this way, IF it's true we're destined for HELL? Than between you and me, we won't know any strangers down there. It's a treat knowing my brothas and sisters in this realm, we might be able to help each other out in the next. (maybe we already are? hmmmmm? oh no! uh-uh, i ain't gettin' myself on another crazy RBR-kick again. not today! it's Saturday, and i gotta lotta skatin' to do. and yup, that too. drankin')
Hope you have a capital weekend. Awesome "Bodysnatchers" pick! Last week's brother's singin' "Alabama" brought tears to my eyes. Seriously, that was so good, nothing I could write to comment on it sounded good or could do that pick of yours justice! It's in a class by itself. All y'all/ya'll over at RBR are too good to us. Don't you boys ever stop now, hear?

Hey bamavicki- up until I was about 10. . . .
Then one day, she says, "Ya'll better not do that again. Next time you do, you'll wish you HADN'T!" And I say to her, "But mama, Ya'll's in college right now. I'm Boy, 'member?" Had her laughin' and I thought she'd calmed down. No. She cracked me upside the head anyway and reminded me to not "get fresh" with her. (and lemme tell you, I was glad we were out shopping- because if I'd been at home, she woulda had me in the bathroom trying to stuff soap in my mouth. Again) She's a spitfire my mama. And didn't take no guff. Still doesn't.
