The next stop is the 2010 NCAA Women's College World Series. ::UPDATE:: Alabama has been named the No. 1 seed in the NCAA Division I Softball Championship and will host the Tuscaloosa Regional on May 21-23. After sitting through a 3 hour, 16-minute rain delay, the Crimson Tide batted around in the sixth inning, scoring six runs to power its way to a 10-1 victory over the Texas Longhorns at the NCAA Tuscaloosa Regional.
Alabama (49-9) assured itself of a spot in today’s regional final against an opponent to be determined. The Tide would have to lose twice to avoid advancing to next weekend’s super regional round.

"Charlotte Morgan on Wednesday became the first University of Alabama player to win the Southeastern Conference Player of the Year Award in softball, and was also named as one of 10 finalists for the USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year Award.
Morgan wasn’t the only Crimson Tide player honored, with Amanda Locke named SEC Freshman of the Year and Morgan joined by teammates Brittany Rogers, Kelsi Dunne and Kelley Montalvo in being named first-team All-SEC as voted by league coaches."
