Over the weekend, Gene Stallings became the fourth Alabama head coach to be enshrined in the College Football Hall of Fame. The first to be so honored was Frank Thomas who was inducted in the hall's inaugural class in 1951. This photo shows Thomas and fellow enshrinee Don Hutson being presented at an Alabama game that season. Seated on the far left is Wallace Wade who would become the second Alabama coach to be inducted into the hall four years later. Standing next to Hutson is halfback Harry Gilmer who would be enshrined in the hall as well.
