Alabama 72, Iowa 60

Bama knocked off the Hawkeyes to land themselves in the final of the Paradise Jam tomorrow. They will play the winner of the Villanova/Xavier game that started immediately after the game against Iowa (and is still going at the time of this post.)

Jermareo Davidson played, which was a bit of a surprise to me, but played well and had a double double with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Three other Bama player scored in double figures: Alonzo Gee (21), Ronald Steele (18) and Richard Hendrix (14). The rest of the Crimson Tide only combined for four points!

Gee was on fire. He made consecutive steals and had breakaway dunks near the end of the first half and was basically all over the place and showing a lot of hustle.

I was watching the game at a restaurant while having dinner with friends so I was distracted and can't really chime in with any great analysis, but they looked good at times during the game and hopefully the early season rust is starting to fall away.
