Robert Lester, a safety prospect out of Foley High School in Foley, Alabama, has committed to the Crimson Tide.
After an impressive opening to his senior season, Lester had racked up an impressive list of offers. As of last week, Lester sported offers from Oklahoma, South Carolina, Clemson, Kentucky, and others. This week, however, Alabama decided to extend an offer, and Lester responded by committing to the Crimson Tide.
At the moment, though, Lester is only listed as being a two-star recruit, but with an offer list like he has, you can rest assured that will rise when recruits are re-evaluated.
Perhaps more importantly, though, is the fact that Lester is the teammate of wide receiver Julio Jones, regarded by many as the top overall player in the country. Previously, Lester and Jones had said that they wanted to play at the same school in college.
All in all, it's just more good news on the recruiting front.
