Big Recruiting News

As BAMA PHREAK mentioned earlier in a diary entry, Chris Jordan officially committed to the Crimson Tide this weekend. As a high school player in Brentwood, Tennessee, Jordan has excelled both as a tailback and as a linebacker.

He is listed as a four star prospect by both major recruiting services, and sports an impressive lists of offers from the likes of Alabama, Tennessee, Clemson, and others. He is generally regarded as one of the top players in the state of Tennessee.

Though it is a bit hard to say, one would imagine that Jordan will start out at linebacker when he arrives at the Capstone.

Also on the recruiting front, Scout.com revised their team rankings today and now has the Tide listed fourth in the country. We're still listed in third on Rivals. It is probably still a bit unlikely that we end up with the number one recruiting class, but at this point it seems like we're guaranteed a top five position, and if we can get Julio Jones, as expected, that should solidify a top-three ranking.
