Monday AM Links and Such

The Gymnastics Team took their cues from the Basketball Team Saturday, falling short in Athens 198.000-196.050.

Sunday afternoon was a better day for Alabama, as the Tide baseball team routed Georgia Southern 9-3 to sweep the season opening series.  Senior center fielder Emeel Salem started things off right, homering on his first two at bats and finishing the game 3-4 with two home runs and two RBI.

SMQ is justifiably upset with Russell Crowe for banning cheerleaders from the South Sydney Rabbitohs rugby team.  On the great "List of Things Todd Couldn't Give a #$@#K About," rugby, Russell Crowe, and how they make cream cheese all appear in the top ten.  But when I read this...

...the cheerleaders -- whose uniform includes fishnet stockings and tasseled miniskirts in the white, green and red team colors...

...I had to wonder if maybe rugby needs to be removed from that list.

In other (possibly related) Austalia news,  half of Australian women still drink while pregnant.

I'm sure I'm a little late with this, but Reggie Bush might still be hurting the Trojans, this time by helping in the recruitment of Joe McKnight.  Because committing a recruiting violation in order to assure your recruit that your program isn't in danger of sanctions is usually the best way to handle such things.
