The New Football Staff Part 3

Secondary - Kirby Smart

Coach Smart follows Saban from Miami, after spending the past season as the Dolphins' safeties coach.  He's also had experience in the SEC, coaching running backs at Georgia (where he also played defensive back during his college years) and defensive backs at LSU (also with Coach Saban).

If this were a movie, he'd be played by:  Brendan Gleeson

Defensive Line - Bo Davis

Bo Davis, like Coach Smart, also has plenty of experience with both the SEC and Coach Saban.  He played his college ball at LSU, earning second team all conference honors as a nose guard in 1992, and also served under Coach Saban at LSU as an assistant strength and conditioning coach before joining him in the NFL, where he continued as an S & C coach as well as a defensive line coach.

If this were a movie, he'd be played by: David Prowse

Defensive Coordinator/Inside Linebackers - Kevin Steele

Possibly the second most watched position on the new coaching staff, Steele takes the reigns from beloved former DC Joe Kines after serving in the same capacity at Florida State for the past four seasons.  In addition to his deserved reputation coaching fierce linebackers, he's also considered an excellent recruiter, having landed the #1 ranked recruiting class for FSU in 2005 and being named the Rivals.com National Recruiter of the Year.

If this were a movie, he'd be played by: Kevin Nealon
