Today's "Definitely Not a Basketball School" Update...

...courtesy the Softball, Baseball, Tennis, and Track Teams.

The Softball team is ranked No. 2 in the nation, the highest ranking for a Crimson Tide team in the program's history.  No. 1 Tennessee (boo! hiss!) held onto the top spot by a slim margin after splitting a double header with Florida on Friday.  They return to acton today in Gainesville for a double header with the Gators.

Maybe I should start calling these things "Your Not Just a Softball School Update"

The Baseball team hopes to rebound from a miserable week today in Birmingham, when they take on the Samford Bulldogs.  The game starts at 6 PM and can be heard on the Crimson Tide Radio Network.

The Men's Tennis Team is ranked 14th nationally,  jumping fourteen spots in the rankings after upsetting (then) No. 7 Ole Miss last weekend.  The Rebs fell to No. 10.

Congratulations to Emmanuel Bor, the SEC Freshman Runner of the Year:

The freshman from Eldoret, Kenya has been nothing short of spectacular since arriving at the Capstone. In his first indoor season he qualified for the NCAA Championship, won an SEC championship in the mile run, earned All-SEC with a second place finish in the 3,000m, and was the anchor leg on the distance relay team that took home third place at the SEC Championships. Bor also finished second in the SEC individual points competition with 19.5 points.
