descry dih-SKRY, transitive verb:

  1. To catch sight of, especially something distant or obscure; to discern.
  2. To discover by observation; to detect.

Though things didn't quite shake out like we wanted, the 10-2 '05 season and win in the Cotton Bowl allowed Bama fans a chance to descry the return to glory we've itched for for so long.
