A-Day Factsheet

I'm sure just about everyone that's going to the A-Day game on Saturday knows this information, but in case they don't, here it is:

A-Day Game
Saturday, April 21st
1:05 p.m.
TV: Live on CSS

One thing that will complicate matters a little bit on Saturday is that the 2007 Collegiate National Triathlon Championship will also be taking place on Saturday. There are traffic maps and parking maps and information about street closings here.

Here is the day's schedule from the official UA Gameday site:

10:00 a.m. A-Club Meeting, Scholarship Club Room (Bryant-Denny Stadium)

10:30 a.m. Noon Tide Pride Luncheon (Coleman Coliseum)

11:00 a.m. Gates open at Bryant-Denny Stadium (Entire lower bowl, west upper deck open to public; sky-boxes, TheZone, Field Suite, Ivory Club, President's Box and Press Box open to invitees)

12:15 p.m. Walk of Fame '06 Captains and Joe Kines (Denny Chimes)

1:05 p.m. A-Day Kickoff with live coverage on CSS

Note: There will be no autograph signings on A-Day.

Don't forget to bring a few buck in cash to the game as there will be 38 collection stations for donating money to help the tornado-ravaged town of Enterprise, Alabama. Go here to read about the Enterprise Tornado Fund.

If you're seeking autographs on Saturday, there will be autograph sessions at the Bryant Museum from 9:30-11:30. The former players that are scheduled to appear are:

  • DeMeco Ryans
  • Shaud Williams
  • Charlie Peprah
  • Kindal Moorehead
  • Juwan Simpson
  • Terrence Jones
  • Anthony Bryant

I wonder if Shaud Williams would be willing to sign my Da Ali G Show DVD?

And now, a shameless plug for my friends' band...

Broken Letters will be playing Egan's (on The Strip) on Friday night. So, if you're in town on Friday night, make sure and drop in. I know I'll be there. Show time is scheduled for 10pm.
