Jermareo Davidson Drafted and Traded

Jermareo Davidson was drafted as the 36th pick in yesterday's NBA draft by the Golden State Warriors. He was then traded to the Charlotte Bobcats along with Jason Richardson for the eight pick in the draft, Jason Wright.

Davidson suffered two tragic losses very close together during the season (he lost his girlfriend and his brother in about the span of a week) and dealing with that obviously affected his game throughout the season. Still, I'm glad to see that he was drafted and that another team wanted him as well.

Oddly enough, he was selected by the Warriors during a commercial break and missed out on the thrill of having his name called. Despite that, Davidson had this to say about getting selected:

"This is something I've always dreamed about, playing in the NBA. I feel like I've worked hard to make it happen, but at the same time, I am very grateful to all the people in my life who helped me make it happen."

We here at RBR wish Jermareo the best of luck in the NBA.
