We're still waiting on the official announcement from Alabama, but Florida announced today that they will be playing their opening game against Western Kentucky on Lincoln Financial ending speculation that Alabama's game against Western Carolina would appear on LF. Florida AD Jeremy Foley didn't sound particularly enthusiastic about the though:
"The Southeastern Conference asked us to move our season opener to 12:30 to accommodate our television partner, Lincoln Financial Sports. We were in a similar scenario last year and the league had other options. This year, they had no other alternatives other than to ask us to move our game time and we are contractually obligated to do so."
That means that the opening game against Western Carolina will be on pay-per-view with a probable kickoff time of 6:00 p.m.
