Today the Crimson Tide received some a couple of tidbits of good news on the recruiting front.
Arthur Brown, a middle linebacker prospect out of Kansas who is regarded by many as the top player in the country, stated that he would take an official visit to Alabama this weekend. Alabama is only one of five schools that he will visit. Oddly enough, Oklahoma -- who many feel is his favorite -- was not included in the list, so we'll see.
Glenn Harbin, a four star defensive end out of Mobile, has narrowed his list to five, and it includes Alabama, Florida, Florida State, South Carolina, and North Carolina. Harbin also sports offers from LSU, Oklahoma, and others. Interestingly enough, LSU was not on his list, and I felt that would be our main competitor for Harbin's services. Two of his teammates at McGill-Toolen -- Sidell Corley and Phelon Jones -- signed with LSU a year ago, and most figured that to be a very strong influence, but apparently not. At this point, Alabama is likely his leader.
