Earlier this morning it became official that B.J. Stabler was going on a medical scholarship, and now we have another player going on medical scholarship as well. The Birmingham News will report tomorrow that offensive lineman Cody Davis has called it quits.
Davis has long since been the prospect who was most-rumored to be heading for a medical scholarship. He had been suffering from a shoulder injury the past couple of years, and the injury forced him to miss the entire 2007 season.
I'll have more later on Stabler, Davis, and medical scholarships. For now though, for all of those worried about not being able to meet the NCAA maximum of 85 scholarship players this Fall, we've now lost three scholarship players over the course of a week.
