According to published reports by the Tuscaloosa News, John Mark Stallings has passed away.
I'm sure most of you remember John Mark very well. As the son of Gene Stallings, he was always a high profile person during his father's tenure at Alabama, and you simply won't find a bigger Alabama fan than he was. In particular I remember, as I'm sure many of you do too, him cheering his heart our for the Tide up in one of the skyboxes with his mother Ruth Ann in the 1993 Sugar Bowl. To say he was loved by all would be an understatement.
No cause of death was listed, but he had lived his life battling Down Syndrome, and in recent years his health was very fragile as a result of a congenital heart defect. He was 46.
