A source close to the NCAA Committee on Infractions revealed today that there will be no significant penalty given to USC in regards to the play for pay case involving Reggie Bush. Apparently the committee was unanimous in the decision. Their logic was that they could not devise a penalty that could cause greater long term punishment to USC than the hiring of Lane Kiffin as head coach. As disappointing as this news is as an Alabama fan, it is hard to argue with the logic that anything could be worse than waking up and realizing that not only was Pete Carroll not in the head coaches office, but the sexiest woman alive was. These are dark days for USC.
