Alabama v. Georgia Tech Open Thread

Alabama and Georgia Tech square off tonight in Atlanta with the winner advancing to the Super Regionals. After taking the opening game over Elon, Alabama fell to Georgia Tech, but stormed back with two victories yesterday that included a win over Mercer and an 8-1 victory over the Yellow Jackets to force a final game. The winner of this game will get the winner of the Auburn v. Clemson game being played tonight, so the winner basically gets either Auburn or Auburn With a Lake.

On the mound for the Tide tonight is the freshman southpaw Taylor Wolfe, who has posted a 3-2 record this year to go along with a 5.32 ERA. As would be expected after a long weekend, pitching is pretty much depleted for the Tide, so they will need a strong showing by Wolfe to pull off the upset. The good news, though, is that Georgia Tech has apparently struggled against left-handed pitching this year -- their lineup is apparently full of lefties -- so hopefully he can stifle their offense and our bats can have another good night. Georgia Tech will counter with Jed Bradley, a Huntsville native.

The game starts tonight at 6:00 central. Chime in here with all of your thoughts.
