A friendly reminder from @Tommy Deas that softball season is just around the corner and the Tide will kick off the season here in Birmingham on February 11th at the inaugural Hibbett/Easton All-Alabama Softball Classic. The tournament will be held at the Vestavia Hills Sports Complex at Liberty Park, and will feature all nine Division 1 programs in the state of Alabama.

"This is going to be a great weekend in the state of Alabama," Crimson Tide head coach Patrick Murphy said. "It is going to be a very rare and special occasion to get all nine schools that play a specific sport in one location at the same time. The opening weekend is going to show the commitment and improvement of softball in the state of Alabama."

The Tide will take on Samford Friday evening at 6:00pm, face a double header of Alabama A&M and Jacksonville State on Saturday, then close the weekend against South Alabama and Troy on Sunday.  Rest of the tournament schedule can be found here (.pdf).  Adult weekend passes can be picked up for $25 with kids under 12 costing only $15 (day passes are $10 for adults and $7 for the kids).  Birmingham locals, let's get together for this one.
