Dillon Lee Chooses Alabama over Florida State and Georgia

And the Tide picks up another big commitment from the Peach State:

Buford linebacker Dillon Lee committed to Alabama over UGA, Florida State and USC on Monday evening.

Lee is one of the state’s most heavily-recruited players and the younger brother of UGA offensive lineman Dallas Lee.

Lee made numerous recruiting trips to both FSU and Alabama; He never made an unofficial visit to USC, and Georgia was the last in his stack of nearly 20 scholarship offers.

Big thanks to our friends at Tomahawk Nation for providing the following blurb for us:

Dillon Lee, a talented linebacker from Buford High School in Buford, Georgia has committed to the Alabama Crimson Tide.  Lee picked Bama over finalists FSU and Georgia.  Dillon Lee also held offers from Arkansas, Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Georgia Tech, Miami, Michigan, North Carolina, Ohio State, Penn State, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Southern Cal.

Lee's coach played for Alabama, so there is little doubt he heard many times about playing in the SEC.  And the allure of playing in Saban's defense is obvious.  Georgia had a chance as well, though they offered much later for an unknown reason, as the Dawgs signed Dallas Lee, Dillon's older brother in 2010.

Lee shows good speed and has excellent length.  He won't be covering running backs sideline-to-sideline, but rather should cause problems for opponents while defending his zone with his height and long arms.  He shows good instincts and makes plays.  Lee should easily play at over 240 pounds.
