For any of y'all in the Huntsville area, this weekend offers an opportunity to catch the Frozen Tide in action:
The University of Alabama hockey team lost its season opener to Kennesaw
State 8-1 last Friday night with sophomore Kenny Jannsen scoring the lone goal for the Tide.
Alabama hopes for a better outcome this weekend as they take on Georgia Tech and the
University of Alabama at Huntsville (UA-H). Alabama will play Georgia Tech Friday night at 8
p.m. at the Huntsville Ice Complex.
The following night, the Tide will kick things off with the UA-H Chargers for the first time in
school history. The Tide will take on the Division One Chargers at the Von Braun Center at 7
p.m. Alabama will play UA-H once again on Sunday at 3 p.m.
On Saturday upper level seats at the Von Braun Center are free, while lower level seats will
cost $7. On Sunday all tickets are $7. Tickets can be purchased through the UA-H Athletic
Department.
