And here's your piping hot scheduling rumor of the day courtesy our friends over @LivingCrimson. Various message boards have been chattering about it for the last day or so as well. But, yes, the idea of Alabama's defense going up against Holgorsen's West Virginia offense certainly sounds like our idea of fun. We're monitoring the Bamasphere and the Crimson Tide Twitterati for confirmation. So treat this as slightly better than "wishful thinking" but a good bit below "IT'S ON!" We'll update this post as soon as we hear anything. UPDATE: Bama beat writer Michael Casagrande, who was at the Crimson Caravan event in Florence responds to our query: "Saban didn't say anything about that when we were talking to him." He does qualify that by saying he didn't hear all of Saban's remarks, only the pre-event interview. UPDATE II: The Charleston Daily Mail's Mike Casazza tweets: "WVU v. Alabama to kick off 2014 season is "in the works." Requires some juggling on WVU's end to make it official." UPDATE III: Casazza weighs in again even stronger: "This WVU v. Alabama thing is basically done done. I'm told the juggling is finished and the one 2014 opponent has disappeared."
