There have already been a million pieces written about why the playoff is good, how it could be better, why it's awful, how it signals the death of the game, why it's good but needs tweaking, etc. I've seen good and bad in just about all of them, but the fact remains that the new four team playoff with teams chosen by a selection committee is what we have for now for better or for worse. Really, it's as simple as that: it makes the game better or it doesn't. Does the introduction of a four playoff as it currently stands make college football better?
