Longest active streak ranked in AP

Alabama has been in the AP poll for 67 weeks. That is the longest active streak. Presumably, we've had the longest active streak for some time. Prior to this week, Boise had the second longest at 62 weeks - but they are done. Second longest now? LSU at 50.

Other facts:

Alabama's longest AP ranking was 105 and was NOT done during the Bear's tenure. It was accomplished by Gene Stallings and Mike DuBose from 1991 to 1997.

Bryant's longest streak was 95 from 76 to 82. And also 79 weeks from 71 to 76. From 1971 to 82, Alabama was ranked in 174 out of 175 polls for the Bear.
