Sunday Morning Hangover: CHAOS!

Get outta my way! DeAndrew White.

ALABAMA 48 KENTUCKY 7

There was no CHAOS in Lexington Saturday night as the Crimson Tide dominated the Wildcats. Despite two 1st quarter red zone fumbles (one by T.J. Yeldon, one by Kenyan Drake) and some dropped passes, Alabama scored on their next 8 possessions.

Yeldon and Drake both rushed for 100+ yards and two touchdowns each. Eight different receivers caught a ball led by Kevin Norwood (4-81, TD) and DeAndrew White (4-80). Bama tied a school record of 35 first downs.

The defense who has now given up 16 points in the last four games was dominant. The starting UK quarterback was knocked out of the game early but it wouldn't have mattered as the Tide D held the 'Cats to 94 yards rushing, 76 yards passing on 7 for 18, 13 first downs, and 2-14 3rd down efficiency.

C.J. Mosley led with 7 tackles (4 solo and 3 assist) and really looked like a leader on the field.

The lack of sacks has been a concern in recent games. Defensive tackle A'Shawn Robinson had two, defensive end Ed Stinson had one, and safety Jarrick Williams had one. DL Darren Lake also came up big with 5 tackles (4 and 1).

The defense had no takeaways but Vinnie Sunseri came close to interceptions on two occasions.

THE KIDS ARE ALRIGHT

As mentioned, true freshman A'Shawn Robinson had two sacks and looks better every week.

Grant Hill continued his progress at offensive tackle splitting time with junior Austin Shepherd.

Reserve running back Altee Tenpenny got his first college touchdown on a 4th quarter 7 yard run.

INJURY REPORT

None to report. WooHoo! However, Eddie Jackson did not participate after spraining an ankle last week against Georgia State. Sophomore Bradley Sylve got the start opposite Deion Belue and played very well.
