According to 247 Sports, Jarran Reed is a 4-star player and is considered the #3 JUCO defensive tackle and the #12 overall JUCO player in the country. Read more about him here.
DJ Pettway is a probably a name that many here are already familiar with. Pettway, you may recall, was one of four Alabama players kicked off of the team last spring for second-degree robbery. According the 247 Sports, Pettway is a 4-star player and is considered the #3 JUCO defensive end and the #22 overall JUCO player in the country.
Pettway's addition will no doubt cause some raised eyebrows (even among the Tide faithful), I imagine, and I would have to think DJ will be given the shortest of leashes given the severity of his past mistakes.
Both Pettway and Reed make their way to Bama by way of East Mississippi Community College. They can both be seen in the video below (Reed is #90, Pettway is #88).
