ed bammer- Here is the official word from Saban
"Coach Stoutland did an excellent job with our offensive line along with each and every responsibility he had while he was here at the University of Alabama," Saban said in a released statement. "We appreciate all that he did in terms of his time and his dedication in contributing to the success we've had over the last two years. He's an outstanding coach and he will do a great job with the Eagles. We wish him and his family the best."
Do you want the bad news or the good news first.
The bad news is Jeff Stoutland has taken the offensive line coaching job with Chip Kelly's Philadelphia Eagles. He’s a solid offensive line coach and has does a great job developing young linemen for the Tide.
The good news FWIW: if the NCAA investigation into the Miami Hurricanes comes down to punishing coaches, there will be no backlash on Alabama.
Nick Saban lost secondary coach Jeremy Pruitt to Florida State in December where he will serve as defensive coordinator.
