Nick and I combined for 40 saves on the day. Even though we lost, I was still happy for both of us and especially proud of him. He played phenomenally and we both were able to make some tremendous saves for our teams. It is my honest opinion that Nick deserves a spot on the SELC All-Conference team this season. Snow apparently won’t let the Tide roll… Obama was supposed to meet with the Alabama football team to honor them for winning the national championship, but the DC snow forced them to cancel their flight and the event for now.

The Tide lost to Florida State in Jacksonville in 2007 by a score of 21-14 and opened the 2012 campaign with a 42-14 win over Michigan in Dallas. On Thursday the attorney for Pettway, who is charged with two counts of second degree robbery, filed a request in Tuscaloosa County district court asking a judge to grant Pettway permission to leave the state. "The defendant is making this request in order to attend school in Mississippi," according to that request. The request does not specify which school in Mississippi or any details about it. Efforts to reach Pettway's attorney this afternoon have been unsuccessful.
