Alabama Lands California Offensive Guard Viane Talamaivao

The newest Alabama assistant, Greg Brown, wasted no time on the recruiting trail getting a verbal commitment from Corona, California offensive guard, Viane Talamaivao. Andrew Bone reported that he actually committed last Friday but the news just broke today.

Talamaivao is rated 4-stars by all the major recruiting services. He is the nation's #8 offensive guard. He was OL MVP at the Los Angeles NIKE Camp.

At 6-3 and 300 pounds, he could easily play any of the linemen positions but is projected as a guard at the college level. He has good size and excellent strength. He is quick out of his stance and is a brick wall at the point of contact. He is tough and a hard worker.

Talamaivao is the first offensive lineman and the eighth overall commitment for the Class of 2014.
