Summer Football Camps are a great way for high school players to hone their skills and prepare for the college game. It's also a good way for coaches to get a better look at young recruits. Alabama's camps start this Sunday with the possible stars of tomorrow.
First up is the High School Session 1 that runs from June 2 until June 5. It is very difficult to know who will be in attendance and how they perform. However, reports say that there will be some pretty high profile quarterbacks at this first camp. Most likely, Saban & Co. will only take one quarterback in the 2014 class. This could be early auditions.
Scheduled to appear in Session 1 (subject to change):
David Cornwell, 6-5 230 lb. 4-star, Norman, OK - despite being from Sooner country, Cornwell is high on the Tide who he considers his favorite. He passed for 2,742 yards, 27 TDs, and 8 INT in 2012. He is the perfect size and the definition of Pro-style quarterback.
Keller Chryst, 6-4 215 lb. 4-star, Palo Alto, CA - Another Pro-style QB with excellent size, Keller favors the hometown school but still has Bama in his top 3. His father, Geep Chryst, is the quarterbacks coach for the San Francisco 49ers. (No relation to former Notre Dame/Kansas QB Dayne Crist)
Brandon Harris, 6-3 185 lb. 4-star, Bossier City, LA - The Crimson Tide already has one commitment from Bossier City in O.J. Smith. Dual-Threat QB Harris goes to rival school Parkway. He has Alabama in his top 3 with LSU and Texas A&M. He accounted for 38 TDs in 2012 - 26 passing, 12 rushing. He reminds some of RG3.
Jacob Park, 6-3 205 lb. 4-star, Goose Creek, SC - Pro-style QB who favors Virginia Tech at the moment. He is entering his 4th year as starter for Stratford High School.
Tyler Harris, 6-4 200 lb. 3/4-star, Blackshear, GA - Yes, another Pro-style with good size. There are many good prospects in this crop and Harris is among them. 2,466 yards passing, 29 passing TDs.
DeShone Kizer, 6-5 207 lb. 4-star, Toledo, OH - Dual threat from Buckeye country but Urban has yet to pull the trigger on an offer. He passed for 1147 yards and 10 TD, ran for 540 and 4 in 2012.
* Also scheduled to be in camp is All-everything 5-Star OT Cameron Robinson (6-6, 320). It never ceases to amaze me how these kids get bigger and faster every year. Robinson is an elite beast of a lineman who can pancake linemen or get down field and take on a DB. It won't be easy to wrestle this West Monroe, Louisiana jewel from LSU but Saban will give them a run for their money. For your viewing pleasure: he is #68, LT for the burgundy team (sorry about the 80s music).

The next camp is for Kickers and Long Snappers. They have a specialized camp on June 8.
The big boys come in on June 15 for Offensive Line/Defensive Line Camp.
Finally, High School Session 2 is July 14-17.
"The Nick Saban Crimson Tide Football Camp is a non-contact, skills teaching camp that is designed to give each athlete a solid foundation in the football fundamentals needed to excel at his position."
All camps take place at the Mal Moore Athletic Facility in Tuscaloosa and are open to grades 9-12.
