Monday Musings: Calling All Gumps

With the offseason finally winding down and several new commenters among us (Welcome, by the way), I thought this would be a good time to do another roll-call type thread. It never ceases to amaze me that, no matter where I go, Bama fans are everywhere. There are undoubtedly members of our commentariat who live near each other without realizing it, hail from the same area, etc. If you would, please take the time to let us know a little something about you. This is still an anonymous blog, so obviously real names, addresses, etc. should be omitted. Some ideas:

As for me, I was born in Montgomery, AL but grew up in the Atlanta area. Most everyone on both my mother's and father's side live in and root for Alabama. Living in the Charlotte area now, I try to make it to a game a year but watch the rest with my wife (who mixes a mean Bama Slammer) and son, both fully indoctrinated Gumps. My grandfather was an Alabama state trooper who worked security for the team during the Bryant years. I have many wonderful memories of summers spent with him and my grandmother in their little brick house off of University Blvd. Loving Bama football simply became a way of life.
