A week after visiting Tuscaloosa with three other high-profile prospects from the boot-shaped state (Cameron Robinson, Leonard Fournette, Laurence Jones), WR Cameron Sims made his verbal commitment to sign with the University of Alabama in 2014.
Sims had 39 catches for 948 yards and 8 TDs as a junior. That is a whopping 24.3 yards per catch. The Monroe, La. native is known for having good hands and excels in making catches in traffic and gaining yards after the catch.
He has great size (6-4/190) that might remind some of Julio Jones and can use his size to extend to a ball.
Sims becomes the 19th commitment to the class of 2014 and second from the Monroe area along with O.J. Smith. Let's hope West Monroe's Cameron Robinson will make it three.
Sims chose Bama over Ole Miss, Oklahoma State, and Southern Miss.
