It wasn't too long ago that scoring 70+ on an opponent was unheard of. Nowadays it seems like a weekly event. If you read my little rant on Saturday, you may realize I have a distaste for these match-ups:
#4 Ohio State 76 Florida A&M 0 - I would expect as much from Urban Meyer and his classy outfit in Columbus.
#7 Louisville 72 FIU 0 - Louisville is trying to overcompensate for their WEAK schedule (sorry, it's not gonna work).
#16 Miami 77 Savannah State 7 - Miami will be Miami.
#20 Baylor 70 LA-Monroe 7 - Baylor had two pick-6s and a kickoff fumble recovery in the first quarter so I guess I can excuse Coach Art Briles for leading 35-0 after 15 minutes.
On the other side of the mismatch quarter was a few SEC teams who looked less-than-SEC calibre:

#1 Alabama 31 Colorado State 6 - you saw it, don't need to recap.
#9 Georgia 45 North Texas 21 - The Mean Green (2-2) returned a kickoff 99 yards for a touchdown and blocked punt for another to even the score at 21 in the 3rd quarter.
Vandy 24 UMass 7 - It was 10-7 heading into the 4th quarter.
Rutgers 28 Arkansas 24 - I am most disappointed in Arkansas. It looked like they were turning a corner but reverted back into the 2012 version.
Of course all of this is fodder for the SEC-haters out there. However, the Big 10 had a few team come out flat as well:
#15 Michigan 24 UConn 21 - The Wolverines broke a 21-21 tie at the 4:36 mark of the 4th to win the game.
#18 Northwestern 35 Maine 21 - Did the Wildcats put it on cruise control after going up 21-0 and started thinking about Ohio State?

° Boise State is now 2-2 for the first time in a long while. However, now we are stuck listening to all the wonks talk about Fresno State being this year's mythical "BCS-buster". Sigh.
° Georgia Tech has quietly rolled to 3-0. Could their triple-option offense sneak up on Clemson come November 14?
° Biggest surprises at 4-0: Maryland, Minnesota, Texas Tech. Most likely first lost: Maryland @ Florida State, Oct 5. Minnesota @ Michigan Oct 5. Texas Tech @ Oklahoma Oct 26.
° Absolutely the worst team in FBS (I-A): Georgia State (0-4) has lost to three FCS (I-AA) teams: Samford, Chattanooga, Jacksonville State. West Virginia (2-2) was their other loss.
Coming Up:
#12 South Carolina at UCF - the Knights are 3-0 and starting to get some votes after upsetting Penn State in State College. (11am CT, ABC in most southeast markets)
South Alabama at Tennessee - Everything says that this should be a cakewalk for the Vols but don't fall asleep on coach Joey Jones and the Jaguars who beat WKU last week. It sure doesn't get easier for UT after this game: Next three games: UGA, USC, @Bama. Brutal. (11:21am/12:21pm, SEC TV)
#6 LSU at #9 Georgia - Lock up your daughters. Zach Mettenberger returns to Athens. (2:30pm/3:30pm, CBS)
#21 Ole Miss at #1 Alabama - Roll Tide. (5:30pm/6:30pm, ESPN)
#10 Texas A&M at Arkansas - The Hogs used to dominate this series but the tables of fortune have turned. (6:00pm/7:00pm, ESPN2).
#23 Wisconsin at #4 Ohio State - Time to see what this Buckeyes team is really made of. (7:10pm/8:10pm, ABC)
