Injury Report:

Wide receiver Amari Cooper, guard Anthony Steen, cornerback Deion Belue, and wide receiver Kevin Norwood all sat out of the game last week due to various injuries. All practiced this past week and should line up against the Rebs.

The one exception is reserve senior safety Nick Perry who wore a no-contact black jersey this week. Perry injured his shoulder during practice last week and missed Alabama's game against Colorado State. He had season-ending surgery, but has a strong possibility of returning next season as a 5th-year senior.

Starting linebacker Denzel Nkemdiche is scheduled to play for Ole Miss despite tearing his meniscus (a meniscus tear is an injury to the cartilage that stabilizes and cushions the knee joint) against Vanderbilt. He had surgery on August 31. The sophomore was the leading tackler for Ole Miss in 2012. His replacement, Serderius Bryant, has been this year's leading tackler.

Recruiting:

The Crimson Tide is expecting some high-profile visitors at today's game from the following 2014 commitments:

QB David Cornwell, 6-5/235 4-star, Norman, OK
OT Cameron Robinson, OT 6-6/320 5-star, Monroe, LA
WR Cameron Sims, 6-4/190 4-star, Monroe, LA
LB Shaun Dion Hamilton, 6-0/235 4-star, Montgomery, AL
DT Johnny Dwight, 6-3/300 3-star, Rochelle, GA
CB Stephen Roberts, 6-1/180 4-star, Opelika, AL (his 2nd weekend in a row he has visited)

* Also scheduled to be in town is Ole Miss commit safety CJ Hampton, 6-2/195 4-star, Meridian, MS. The Alabama staff has been recruiting him hard despite his commitment to Hugh Freeze. He is is an early enrollee candidate, so keep an eye on this is one.
