Moving Up: Miami Hurricanes -they won't face another defense like Florida's, impressive defensive line, great skills guys. Auburn Tigers -not two great wins, but two not-very-bad ones; demonstrable improvement from week 1 to week two. And I have no doubt Chizik loses at least one of those games. LSU -Stop being competent: the Sucker Puncher and the Alleged Groper are the poor man's UGA.
Moving Down: Oklahoma Sooners -Defensive line is still hell on wheels; the offensive line is just hellishly bad. This team is about to start some losing. Florida Gators -inexcusable coaching and the quarterback play was worse. Five losses are staring at the Gators unless they get their heads and signal caller on track. Oregon -no offense Ducks, you're very fun to watch, but I hate your soft, undersized offensive line and inability to tackle in space. Would love to see you in Holiday Bowl against Baylor.
Moving Out: Texas Longhorns -an unspeakably awful effort against BYU; if this were an SEC team Mack Brown would have been fired before he could reach the Provo tarmac; North Dakota State Bison - I still like this team; I just think the teams above them are better.
Last Out: Notre Dame Fighting Irish -Defense is young but seems more athletic than last year's vaunted version. Game effort against a very good Michigan team. Washington State Cougars -hard to tell how much of that effort was USC being awful. Still, very physical defense plays way above their heads. Nebraska Cornhuskers -Beating up Southern Miss does nothing for me; the Wyoming game is the Pelini era in a microcosm. Penn State -Will quietly win 8 games with a freshman quarterback who is going to be special. Must avoid slow starts or they will get devoured by the OSUs of the world.
As always, feel free to shower me with adoration below.
