Alabama at Texas A&M preview: Johnny Manziel's highs and lows (photos) |

Check out the photo gallery to see highlights of the many ups and downs Johnny Manziel has endured since he hit the college football scene as a highly recruited high school senior

Pfft..Johnny Manziel doesn't know scrutiny. Try writing a joke called "Saban Headed to Texas?" and see what happens.

Defensive back Toney Hurd Jr. on what the A&M defense can improve on “With the guys we have coming back I think it will be a great improvement. So far we have a lot of guys playing with a lot more effort than we did last week, a lot more speed and a lot more confidence. Going into this week we just need to polish up our defense and we’ll be ready to play come September 14.”

I have been saying this for two weeks: Pay no attention to the defensive performances by A&M so far this season. They may not turn into LSU this Saturday but the addition of 4 starters to the lineup will most assuredly improve their depth and ability to stop the run.

6. Days left until the epic game of the millenium.

Knowing GBH, this is a joke but like I mentioned Friday, our season will be defined by what happens this Saturday.

Did you meet Paul 'Bear' Bryant? Show us your photos |

For Alabama football fans, a photo with Paul “Bear” Bryant may be one of their most cherished possessions. It might be tucked in a scrapbook or framed in a trophy room, but the stories of the time they met the legendary coach are with them always. This week would have been Bryant’s 100th birthday, and we’d like to share your photos and recollections.

Never met the man and I never got to see him coach a game but I hear he was a pretty awesome guy.

Matching up No. 1 Alabama at No. 6 Texas A&M: When the Crimson Tide runs |

The numbers so far: Alabama ran for 96 yards on 38 carries in its season opener against Virginia Tech. Mixed within the struggles was a 27-yard run by Yeldon and a 20-yarder by Altee Tenpenny. The Aggies allowed an average of 273 rushing yards to Rice and Sam Houston State. Rice had runs of 57, 22 and 20. Sam Houston State had a 68-yard touchdown run.

Again, pay no attention to these stats. Yes they are useful in some way or another but probably not as much as you'd hope.

5-star LB Raekwon McMillan still has Alabama in top 3, considers heading to State-Auburn game |

He re-iterated that "Ohio State, Alabama and Clemson" were his favorites with "Georgia and Florida on the outside."

Alabama's younger plays have to stay patient in Nick Saban's system |

“It comes down to the young guy being truthful with himself about what he is as a player, and is he better than the guy who is playing?” former UA defensive lineman and current Philadelphia Eagle Damion Square said. “And sometimes it’s not about talent, it’s just about the fact of waiting your turn because that guy in front of you is good enough to win games. Why replace something that’s working?
