With just two games under the belt for A&M and just one for 'Bama, stats won't tell much for predicting the game this Saturday but they do give us something other than Saban to Texas to talk about.
(all stats found at www.cfbstats.com/)
Probably the most intriguing stats will be found with our defense compared to their offense. Of course, we only have one game to look at but you could probably just combine both of A&M's games to equal VT.
I was surprised to see Manziel's low rushing numbers and to see Malena leading the team in rushing yards. JFF was their leading rusher last year and it seems like he's attempting to run less (could be a factor of playing poor pass defenses too).
I will continue to hold to my belief you can't read into the A&M defensive stats all that much but man it's hard to believe they are missing those guys this much. If we lost CJ, Pagan and say Dickson for two games would our defense sill give up that kind of yardage, especially on the ground, against two patsies?
