Kamara has been granted leave to transfer outside the SEC. He's the second player to transfer away from Alabama this spring, joining QB Luke Del Rio.
Kamara was highly touted coming in, along with fellow running back recruits Derrick Henry, Altee Tenpenny, and Tyren Jones. Kamara never saw the field, and there were rumors of academic or personal issues off the field that contributed to his lack of playtime. He was eventually suspended for the Sugar Bowl.
Long term, there's little harm this likely causes to Alabama, as Kamara didn't have a defined role with the team, and won't be seeing us on the field. Good luck to him elsewhere.
