Lucky number thirteen went off without a hitch even though weather did not cooperate so much. Windy conditions plus wet grass forced the team indoors. This was another full pads practice.
It is believed that this cold wet front will be gone by Saturday as the forecast is for partly cloudy skies and a high of 74 - perfect for sitting in Bryant-Denny Stadium and watching some Alabama football!
INJURY UPDATES
Cornerback Maurice Smith was back at practice after suffering a slight concussion and being held out of the last few practices. He appeared to be at full speed.
Fellow cornerback Tony Brown continues to practice with a shoulder brace but he is not being held back from full contact.
POSITION BATTLES
OFFENSIVE LINE
I want a Outland!
— Cameron D. Robinson (@crobinson_68) April 15, 2014
As we have reported, the offensive linemen have been shuffled around quite a bit this spring. Last practice, Brandon Greene worked at first team left tackle. On Tuesday, Greene split time with early enrollee 5-star freshman Cameron Robinson on the first line.
This line consisted of LG Arie Kouandjio, C Ryan Kelly, RG Leon Brown, and RT Austin Shepherd. Read into it what you will but I think we'll have to wait until Saturday to see who lines up where.
VIP
Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Rutgers head coach Greg Schiano was watching practice from the sidelines. He is currently unemployed after being fired by the Bucs following this past season.
ESPN's Todd Blackledge was also on hand. He will be doing color commentary for Auburn's spring game.
NEXT PRACTICE
There is only one more practice on Thursday before Saturday's A-Day Game, 1 pm CT.
