50 days until...

RBR's countdown to the Alabama-West Virginia game continues with #50... NONE SHALL PASS!

Oh yeah. I went there.
Oh yeah. I went there.

One of the most dominating defensive efforts in college football history took place on January 9, 2012 in the BCS National Championship in New Orleans, LA.

The Crimson Tide's smothering defense kept the LSU offense from crossing the 50-yard line until 8 minutes left in the game. That play was followed by a 3-yard loss, a 5-yard penalty, two Jordan Jefferson incompletions and a Jefferson fumble caused by Dont'a Hightower recovered by Nick Gentry at - appropriately enough - the 50 yard line.

The Tigers finished with just 92 yards and five first downs.
