Four star safety Ronnie Harrison has had a whirlwind summer as he went from a 3-star UNC commit to a 4-star Alabama commit.
A year ago, he started out with offers from UMass, Samford, North Carolina, and ECU. In July of 2013, he committed to the Tar Heels. After Harrison started going to football camps and competitions across the country earlier this year, bigger offers started to roll in: Alabama, LSU, FSU, Florida, Notre Dame...
Today, he has made his pledge to attend the University of Alabama in 2015.
Harrison saw most of his action as a junior at quarterback and at cornerback but projects as a safety or linebacker in college. He has very good size, length and runs very well. He shows good feet and change of direction when he is moving around in or escaping from the pocket. He possesses good coverage skills and closes on the ball well when lined up at cornerback...
Harrison is a 6-2.5, 205-pound safety from Tallahassee, FL - another big safety for Nick Saban to mold. He will graduate in December and enroll at the Capstone in January 2015. He is the 20th commitment (out of 25) to this class.
MORE UPDATES TO COME...
In other news:
2014 commitment Montel McBride will enroll at a Iowa Western Community College. The 6-4/329 offensive lineman failed to academically qualify to enroll at UA.
Still no word on Bo Scarbrough. With players reporting on Thursday and practice beginning Friday, we should know something soon. Fall classes begin August 20.
