Alabama Football Recruiting Update: Joshua McMillon Commits to the Crimson Tide

While most eyes are looking at the present of the Crimson Tide football team, The Process® never forgets about the future. On Friday evening, 4-star linebacker Joshua McMillon declared his intentions to sign with Alabama in 2015 and they are getting a heck of a good kid.

Forget that the Memphis native's size (6-3/240) and style of play reminds people of one Dont'a Hightower. Forget that he can play inside LB as well as on the outside with his hand in the dirt. Forget that he was named All-State in Tennessee's largest public school classification. The thing to really know is that McMillon excels off the field as much as he does on the field.

He comes from a loving family who brought him up right. McMillon carries a 4.3 GPA and has camped at Alabama for both football and for engineering. He is a well-spoken young man who is steadfast in his faith.

Billy Napier gets the win for this commit but the save goes to junior Bama linebacker Denzel Devall. McMillon stated that he had known it would be Alabama for about a month but a conversation with Devall helped seal the deal.

McMillon was named Linebacker MVP at the Birmingham Nike Football Training Camp and also participated in Nike's The Opening this the summer. He chose Alabama over Ole Miss and Michigan with the likes of Auburn, Clemson, Georgia, Ohio State, and Tennessee as distant runner-ups. He is the 21st commitment to the 2015 class.
