Alabama holds at #2 in the Coaches Poll

Alabama holds on to the #2 spot in the first Coaches Poll of the young season despite a less than dominating performance against West Virginia.

  • No surprise that A&M made a huge jump from their pre-season ranking and almost landed in the top 10.
  • I find it rather funny that Alabama at #2 received zero first place votes while UGA who is #8 received at least one. Again, I like that Alabama is flying under the radar, despite their #2 ranking.
  • Not really sure how USCe stayed in the top 25 after that dismal effort against TAMU.
  • There's a good chance 'Bama will play four top ten teams, and if MSU makes a push, five top 25 teams by season's end. So much for a weak schedule.
