It's safe to say Reggie's decision to come back to the Capstone is paying dividends. The preseason All-American/All-SEC inside linebacker has been an absolute monster captaining the Alabama defense this season.
The senior captain has notched a team-high 71 tackles, including five tackles for loss (-18 yards), to go along with two sacks, two forced fumbles, three pass breakups and three quarterback hurries. He has led the team in tackles in seven of the eight games this season, including a season-high 12 tackles in the win against Tennessee.
And his work is getting noticed.
Alabama football’s senior linebacker Reggie Ragland was named to the list of 10 semifinalists for the prestigious Butkus Award, the Butkus Foundation announced Monday. The Butkus Award is annually presented to the nation’s best linebacker by the Butkus Foundation.
Good luck to Reggie Ragland. Now, please enjoy this video of him devouring souls.
