Derrick Henry is Heading to New York City

Three Heisman Finalists Named.

Alabama running back Derrick Henry is among the finalists named for the Heisman Trophy. He will be traveling to New York City for the presentation on Saturday, December 12, 2015.

Stanford back Christian McCaffrey and Clemson quarterback Deshaun Watson are the other two finalists.

Henry, who is the nation's leading rusher with 1,986 rushing yards, hopes to become the second Crimson Tide player to take home the trophy. Mark Ingram won in 2009. Henry has scored 23 touchdowns, which is four more than the next closest competitors.

McCaffrey is second in rushing with 1,847 yards and 8 touchdowns on the ground. He also has 540 receiving yards and another four scores.

Watson is the quarterback for the #1 team which gives him an automatic bid. He is 16th in passing yards (3,512) with 30 passing TDs (9th best)  and 11 interceptions (20th most). He has also rushed for 887 rushing yards and 11 TDs.
