It's that time of the year - brackets upon brackets upon brackets. This seems as good a time as any for all of the armchair prognosticators and purveyors of hot takes to join our group. There, you will compete for the opportunity to dethrone us all. You will impress your friends, strike fear into the hearts of your foes, and woo potential mating partners.
"But, Erik," you say, "brackets are always so dicey because Duke or Kansas will inevitably blow a 2-15 seed matchup and then I have nothing left to play for."
Ordinarily, you would be correct. However, in partnership with RealTime Brackets, such worries are a thing of the past. One day, you will tell your grandchildren about static brackets and they will scoff with the same disbelief as when you tell them about "land line telephones," "dial up internet," and "book stores." RealTime Brackets let's you change your picks during the tournament (and even during the game!) Obviously, you get more points for guessing correctly early, and then sticking with that pick. The days of Georgetown torpedoing your bracket by lunch time of the First Round are over.
To make it worth your while, as if attempting to topple your RBR overlords wasn't enough intrinsic motivation, this year we are pleased to announce two changes to the RBR Bracket Challenge. The first is that we have a local sponsor and the bracket is therefore now the "Roll 'Bama Roll/Druid City Brew Bracket Challenge." We are not just shameful corporate whores, though; as part of teaming up with DCB, the good folks there have been gracious enough to contribute a grand prize worth $75 to this year's winner.
The Druid City Brewing Prize Pack contains:
-
Two (2) Druid City Brewing pint glasses
-
Two (2) Druid City Brewing drink koozies
-
One (1) DCB hat
-
One (1) DCB t-shirt
We cannot thank Bo Hicks, Elliot Roberts, and the entire staff and brewers at DCB enough for their generosity. Pay them a visit at their taproom (607 14th St, Tuscaloosa, AL 35401,) drop by their website to see what's going on in the tanks, and, of course, say hi on Twitter and Facebook.
