There is absolutely no way to soft-sell what a hit this is to the University. Bill Battle did what what we all wanted: He got rid of Grant, but, at this moment, where does Alabama turn its lonely eyes? Mike White at La. Tech? Richard Pitino at Minnesota? You do not fire Anthony Grant for either of those guys. You just don't.

I can confidently say that Alabama has botched men's hoops since 2013, and it doesn't look like a hopeful ending is in sight.
