Something Different for RBR Music Fans

I thought I would throw this out for the RBR music fans. This is not a replacement for the Random 10.

I would like to introduce you to Willie Mae "Big Mama" Thornton. She was born December 11, 1926, in Ariton, Alabama (though later claimed Montgomery as birthplace). She was a rhythm and blues singer. Most may recognize later re-makes of her two most famous hits – Leiber and Stoller’s "Hound Dog" and her own "Ball n’ Chain". She played with a who’s who of R&B and Jazz musicians and was inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame in 1984. She died of heart and liver complications July 25, 1984 from years of alcohol abuse.
