ALABAMA

College basketball allows 13 scholarships per team. With the announced departures of guard Ricky Tarrant and Devin Mitchell, the Crimson Tide can sign up to four additional players, not counting the two who signed during the early signing period in November 2014.

EARLY SIGNEES:

  • Brandon Austin (6-5/180) 3-star small forward from Montgomery, Alabama (Carver) - averaged 18 points, seven rebounds, four assists, four steals and 1.5 blocks per game while leading the Wolverines to the Class 6A state championship.
  • Donta' Hall (6-8/225) 3-star power forward from Luverne, Alabama - averaged 23 points per game, 19 rebounds per game, 12 blocks per game as a senior.

PROSPECTS:

  • Dazon Ingram (6-5/183), 3-star shooting guard from Theodore, AL, decommited from Alabama following Grant's dismissal but could return to the fold. He tweeted Saturday that Kentucky coach John Calipari contacted him after the Wildcats lost seven underclassmen from their national semifinal team. Ingram averaged 21 points, 11 rebounds, and five assists in leading the Bobcats to the state semifinals this year for the first time in school history.
  • Nych Smith (5-10/170) low 3-star point guard from Memphis, TN. "...may be small in height, but he’s strong and tough. Smith is quick and able to break down defenders. While we list him as a lead guard, his mentality – at least on his high school team – is more to get points. He can get hot from three, is comfortable pulling up for mid-range jump shots and has a floater. He’s quick laterally and a tough kid that will compete on the defensive end as well." Scout.com
  • John Carlos Reyes (6-9 or 6-10/225) 3-star power forward is from Suwanee, GA but spent is senior year at Sound Doctrine Academy in

    Suwanee, GA

LaGrange, GA. This mobile post-player specializes in shot-blocking. Can play center or PF. Highlight video.
