Alabama wide receiver Amari Cooper was selected with the fourth overall pick of the 2015 NFL Draft by the Oakland Raiders.

Oakland is coming off a 3-13 season after a pair of 4-win seasons. They have not been to the postseason since 2002 when they lost Super Bowl XXXVII to the Buccaneers 48–21. That was also the last season in which the Raiders enjoyed a winning season.

The Raiders believe they have their quarterback in Derek Carr but he hasn't had anyone to throw to at this point. Wide receiver Michael Crabtree crossed the bay from San Francisco but brings some baggage with him. He signed a one-year, incentive-laden deal for $3.2 million with the Raiders.

Cooper will join former Bama star running back Trent Richardson in Oakland who signed a free agent contract for two years $3.9 million.

Cooper becomes the 17th Crimson Tide player to be picked in the first round in the Nick Saban era at Alabama. He is the 42nd player overall drafted in that time.
